Do you know caviar?

Sure, you have heard about this delicacy. You probably even tasted
it already.

But, do you really know what makes
this delicacy so unique?

To discuss caviar, we need to discuss the fish behind the delicacy.

The sturgeon fish existed on earth
250 million years back. Currently,
we have 20 major species of sturgeon.

Sturgeons can be located in the northern hemisphere. They usually thrive in saltwater, but spawn in freshwater.

The three well-known sturgeons can
be found in the Caspian Sea.
These are the Beluga, Russian and Stellate sturgeons.

The three most expensive caviars
are derived from these fishes.
They are the Beluga, Osetra and
Sevruga caviars, respectively.

Caviar is not only a delicacy but also very healthy. Just 100g of this
delightful food contains only 50 calories,Protein (25 g), Fat (17g), Cholesterol (440mg)and much more.
It even contains omega-3 fats which
is very healthy.

And after all, it is a wonderful and luxurious starter. When serving caviar to guests, it is better to serve it in the tin can, with crushed ice surrounding the tin can.

Care should be exercised in serving
the caviar because the grains should not be broken. It is best eaten using
a fork.
